Welcome to Example Federation

Meirionnydd Federation is happily situated in one of the most stunning areas of the country - Snowdonia National Park.

We are close to instantly recognisable landmarks such as Portmeirion Village and Harlech Castle all set along the magnificent Cardigan Bay coastline.

We are a relatively a small Federation with 12 Institutes.

Our beautiful surroundings are a great inspiration to us and dominate our activities, whether it be outdoor pursuits, art & crafts, public affairs or sports.

We have lots of opportunities for great days out walking, dancing, or even playing croquet. With the combination of fabulous company and such a beautiful environment it's easy to while away the hours.

If you have a more artistic streak you can join a craft class. These industrious groups produce amazing work whilst chatting and enjoying a coffee. If you're feeling competitive we participate in the Meirionnydd County Show and the Royal Welsh Show.

We take keen interest in current affairs and we have discussed a wide range of issues from agriculture in crisis to the future of a nuclear power station.

We are fortunate to have access to an educational centre, Plas Tan y Bwlch, for a weekend each September where we have the opportunity to try new crafts, improve our skills or hear fascinating lectures.
